Josh is the Managing Partner and Co-Founder of MKM Law, Canada’s first law firm and management agency dedicated to esports and content creation.
Josh regularly represents organizations and individuals across the esports industry on topics related to business strategy and implementation, sponsorship and partnership arrangements, monetization strategies, and determining paths to profitability.
In his capacity as Managing Partner, Josh counsels his esports clients on legal issues ranging from corporate governance, brand protection, sponsorship and player negotiations, and immigration. His practice is a blend of advising startups and industry investors in their growth and acquisition of esports organizations, and representing his clients’ interests through litigation.
Josh frequently appears on various esports talk shows, and speaks at guest lectures and conferences across North America. He is based in Toronto, but travels throughout Canada, the United States, and Europe regularly.
Evan is the President and Co-founder of MKM Group. Evan offers his clients a multi-jurisdictional approach to the industry, having obtained both a Canadian and American law degree from University of Windsor School of Law and the University of Detroit School of Law.
A creative lawyer, his passion lies in assisting non-endemic brands to strategically enter the esports space in order to optimize success and help established esports entities to scale their business.
Often featured on panels and keynotes, Evan has assisted multi-national brands to authentically implement marketing campaigns; has advised various capital market players on prospective industry investments; and has developed a full-service law firm in a niche area that is drastically under served by traditional legal mechanisms.
Evan has also committed to contributing to the community by providing pro-bono legal services to a young population of competitive gamers who are otherwise unable to afford legal assistance, and by working with charitable organizations such as Autism Speaks, Do A Barrell Roll and Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.
Zack completed his law degree at the University of Ottawa and subsequently articled at a litigation firm in downtown Toronto. After being called to the Ontario Bar in June 2019, Zack joined MKM Group on both their legal and partnership teams.
Zack has since taken over as the Director of Talent & Legal Affairs, where his expertise offers a unique perspective on any legal or business related issues, particularly with talent agreements and sponsorship campaigns.
Zack takes pride in helping MKM and Rumble Gaming’s talent understand their fundamental legal rights and ensures they are provided with fair representation and compensation for their services.
